Anointing of the Sick

Parishioners facing surgery or struggling with serious illness may request the Sacrament of the Sick by calling the Parish office, 302-856-6451, or by talking with any Priest after any Mass. 
If you have an emergency or need an anointing in the event of imminent death, during Parish Office hours call 302-856-6451.  After hours, call the emergency number at 302-278-1484.

To request an anointing by a Priest if you are at Beebe Hospital, have a family member or the nurse call St. Jude's, 302-644-7300.  If after business hours, then press a number key indicated for a sacramental emergency and your call will go to St. Jude’s answering service who notifies the priest on duty.  If a patient stated he/she was Catholic when he/she was admitted, he/she should be placed on the communion list automatically.  St. Jude’s EMHC goes most days to distribute communion.
